Publix: Don't forget your digital coupons!

I haven't used the Publix digital coupons much so far.  The problem I've found with them is that they are usually for cents off a single item.  This is a problem because the products I generally buy are buy one, get one free.  I live in Florida, where we have true BOGO - you pay full price for the first item and get the second item free.  (In other areas, you get each item for half price.)  So a cents-off one item coupon isn't all that helpful for me.

This week, I found a way to use two.  CapriSun had a digital coupon for cents off two items, which I far prefer.  And there was a coupon for a single Philadelphia 2x Protein Cream Cheese, which was on sale for 3/$5.  So I put both coupons in my account.

I went to the store, picked out my items, and checked out.  I started to pay, and then...

"Oh, no!  I forgot my digital coupons!"

I had forgotten to put my phone number in the keypad before the cashier hit total.  By then, it was too late.

I suppose I could have returned the items, then bought them again, this time remembering the digital coupons.  But instead, I decided not to and to return again, purchase more CapriSun and cream cheese, and use the digital coupons that time.  If I remember.

This trip had a fairly high out of pocket expense. But I also got a $50 gas card for only $40 with the in-ad coupon, which I am not listing below.  And because I got my pre-coupon total just above $60, I was able to use two $5 off coupons from Enjoy the City.

Here's what I got this week:
