A prepaid card for Christmas shopping would be perfect. Put your budgeted amount on the card and when it is gone, you are done shopping.

This gift card would make it easier to budget myself if I only allow myself to spend what is on the gift card. If my budget for a shopping trip is $50 and I believe I am about to go over the budget for the week then I may use the gift card for the balance that is over budget to keep me on track for the month.
