Walgreens: Great deals on school supplies!

In my area, school starts in four weeks.  Wow, where did the summer go?

So I've started stocking up on school supplies to get ready for the year.  One of my favorite places to get school supplies is Walgreens!  Each week, a few items are on sale at a rock-bottom price.  I stop by each week and pick up just those items.  So by the time school starts, I'll have everything the kids need for school, plus I'll be stocked up on office supplies for the year!

Here's what I got on two trips to Walgreens, one on Saturday during the last sales week and another today:

Saturday's trip:

1 Wexford scissors @ 49¢ (with in-ad coupon) = 49¢
5 Wexford pencils 8 ct @ 39¢ (with in-ad coupon) = $1.95
9 Wexford highlighters @ 8/$1.00 (with in-ad coupon) =  $1.13

Tax: 21¢
Total spent: $3.78
Total saved: $9.58

Monday's trip:

1 Wexford pink erasers 2-pk @ 25¢ (with in-ad coupon) = 25¢
18 Wexford 2 pocket & prong folders @ 6/$1.00 = $3.00
4 Wexford index cards @ 29¢ (with in-ad coupon) = $1.16
6 Wexford memo bookx @ 6/$1.00 = $1.00
1 Wexford glue @ 39¢ (with in-ad coupon) = 39¢

Tax: 35¢
Total spent: $6.15
Total saved: $21.40
