Gift Card Rescue $30 Target Gift Card Giveaway

Has this ever happened to you?  You receive a gift for a birthday or anniversary.  It's a gift card!  But it's for a store you don't shop at, or is for a store that isn't in your area.  What do you do?

In the past, when this has happened to me, I usually just put the gift card away somewhere and forgot about it.  But here's a better solution: stop by Gift Card Rescue and sell or trade your gift card!

If you want cash for your gift card, just go to the Sell page and type in your card type, amount, and expiration date.  If Gift Card Rescue wishes to buy your card, you'll be presented with a dollar amount that they will pay.  Like the offer?  Then click on the cash offer button.  Once you send in the card, a check for that amount will be sent to you within two business days!

If you'd like more, you can also trade your gift card for an Amazon gift card.  Not only will you get more in trade than you would get in cash, but you'll also receive a gift code via email, so you'll have your money sooner.

I gave the selling a try with a hypothetical $50 Kroger supermarket gift card.  We don't have Kroger in my area, so if I were to receive one, it wouldn't do me any good.  Gift Card Rescue offered me either $42.50 in cash or $44.63 on an Amazon gift card.  Not too bad for something that would otherwise sit unused in a drawer!

Gift Card Rescue is great for unwanted gift cards, but it's even better for helping you save without clipping coupons or watching for sales!

That's because you can also buy gift cards from Gift Card Rescue at a discount.  If you buy a store card for 10% off the face value, that means that when you use it, you're saving 10% right off the bat!  (Of course, if you combine the card savings with coupon and sales savings, you'll save even more!)

I checked the prices for some of my favorite places to shop:

• Publix: 5% off
• Target: 4% off
• Walgreens: 6% off
• CVS: 6.5% off
• Kohl's: 6% off

Smaller stores may save you even more!  For instance, Aeropostale cards give a 15% savings!  Wow!

I also really like that Gift Card Rescue has a guarantee on their cards.  In the past I've thought about buying or selling cards on auction sites, but I worried that problems might happen.  What if I received a card and it didn't work or had less money on it than was advertised?  What if I sold a card and the purchaser spent the money on the card, then claimed that it was empty when he or she received it? 

Purchasing from Gift Card Rescue helps avoid these problems.  They'll issue you a refund if:

• The gift card you received is not the card you purchased, or
• The value on the gift card you received is different from what was advertised or indicated at checkout, or
• If you do not receive the gift card you purchased within (3) weeks of the date of purchase.

I'm definitely going to look into purchasing cards at Gift Card Rescue - the extra savings is wonderful!
