Frugality: Television vs. reality

Have you ever noticed how much money some TV characters seem to have?

I used to love watching Friends when it was in its first run, but I always wondered how young twentysomethings could afford such great apartments in extremely expensive New York City. Plus, they always seemed to have plenty of money for fashionable outfits and fancy coffee drinks. I, on the other hand, lived in a much smaller apartment, rarely bought clothes, and pretty much never went to Starbucks.

So I was very interested when I found this infographic on Frugal Dad, contrasting the habits of spendthrift TV characters with habits of the very thrifty - maybe in some cases a little too thrifty - actors and actresses who play them.  Take a look!
