ALDI: My default store for produce

Over the three years that I've been blogging about grocery deals, my strategy on purchasing produce has changed many times.

At first, I often went to Albertson's, Western Beef, Doris's Italian Market, or Penn-Dutch for produce.  Then a discount produce store opened in my area, so I often went there, buying whatever happened to be low priced that day.  Then it (sadly) went out of business, so I was back to Western Beef and Penn-Dutch, especially when Penn-Dutch had $2 off $10 coupons in the newspapers.

Those coupons aren't available anymore (though they might be online), so I do most of my produce shopping at ALDI now.  I get extras of the things on sale, and hold my nose to buy the items that I feel are a little highly priced, but that I need anyway.

I got lots of produce this week - here's the full list:

The blackberries were excellent this week ... $1.19 I think ... I can't believe the eggs are getting as high as that ... I skipped past them, will continue to buy the xlarge ones at Costco every 6 weeks or so. Did you hear that they are introducing organic items? Have not seen anything YET in the store but heard another blogger talking about it.
