Thank you, CVS, for early Black Friday shopping!

This year, CVS decided to start their Black Friday sales on Sunday.  Thank you, CVS!  I really disliked shopping early Thanksgiving morning for the deals - I felt like I was spoiling the Thanksgiving of the employees that had to be there.  Now I won't feel so guilty.

(Although the employees will probably still have to work on Thursday.  I think it's necessary for at least one drug store in a given area to be open, so that people needing medicine can get it.  But it's not necessary for all of a store's branches to be open, and it's certainly not necessary to be out shopping on Thanksgiving Day for big screen TVs.)

I had fun getting lots of the free things - though I didn't get every possible free item.  Some things I just didn't need, and other things I felt had too big an out-of-pocket cost.  But here's what I did get:

1 Glade scented oil warmer @ $1.25 (receive $1.25 ECB)
$1.00 off Glade PlugIns Scented Oil Warmer
= 25¢ ($1.00 moneymaker after ECBs)

1 Children's Advil $ $2.37 (receive $2.37 ECB)
- $1.50/1 Advil Children's Product printable
= 87¢ ($1.50 moneymaker after ECBs)

1 Playtex Sport tampons @ $7.99 (receive $4.00 ECB)
 - $1/1 Playtex Sport Tampons printable
= $6.99 ($2.99 after ECBs)

1 Charmin Basic 1-pack @ 99¢ (receive 99¢ ECB)
- $0.25/1 Charmin Product, exp. 11/30/12 (P&G 10/28/12)
= 74¢ (25¢ moneymaker after ECBs)

1 Haviland thin mints @ 88¢ (receive 88¢ ECB)

1 Kraft macaroni & cheese @ 99¢ (receive 99¢ ECB)

1 Starbucks Doubleshot @ $1.99 (receive $1.99 ECB)

1 Advil 10 ct @ $2.99 (receive $2.99 ECB)

1 Cepacol 4 ct @ $1.00 (receive $1.00 ECB)

1 Kleenex Slim 3-pack @ 99¢ (receive 99¢ ECB)

1 Play-Doh soft pack @ $1.00 (receive $1.00 ECB)

2 CVS AA batteries @ BOGO $3.99

Total product: $23.09
Pay with $4 ECB from previous weeks

Total product after ECBs: $19.09
Tax:  $1.05

Total out of pocket: $20.14
Total saved compared to CVS full prices: $13.32
ECBs received: $18.46

I took advantage of this as well. My CVS is small and doesn't carry all of the deals so I missed out on the Playdoh and Hot Wheels. I'm looking forward to using the ECB's on next weeks sale.
