ALDI is becoming my main store

I've always seen myself as primarily a Publix shopper, and only going to ALDI to pick up the dairy items and other groceries I needed immediately.  But in the last couple of weeks, I feel like ALDI is becoming my main store!

Here's what I got on my two ALDI trips this week:

Trip 1:
1 tray Roma tomatoes @ $1.79
1 3-lb Granny Smith apple @ $3.29
1 tray green peppers @ $1.29
1 3-lb onions @ $1.49
2.81 lb bananas @ 44¢/lb = $1.24
1 2-lb bag salmon fillets @ $7.99
2 dozen eggs @ $1.59 = $3.18
1 cottage cheese @ $2.19
1 20-ct tortillas @ $1.99
1 16-oz shredded cheddar @ $2.99
1 whole wheat bread @ $1.29
1 juice packs @ $1.89

Tax: 12¢
Total out of pocket:  $30.74

Trip 2:

1 tray Roma tomatoes @ $1.79
1.91 lb bananas @ 44¢/lb = 84¢
1 head lettuce @ $1.19
2 20-ct tortillas @ $1.99 = $3.98
2 cream cheese @ 99¢ = $1.98
2 apple juice concentrate @ 99¢ = $1.98
4 canned beans @ 59¢ = $2.36

Total spent: $14.12

I'm with you on this. With the way prices have just kept going up up up, even on store brand items, my family can't afford to shop anywhere BUT Aldi lately. I can go to Aldi and pretty much surf the lanes and get whatever I see that I want and know that I am not going to bust my budget!

I'm not sure where you live but in the Ft Lauderdale Sun Sentinal Dec 2nd page 12a there was a $5.00 off $30.00 Aldi coupon. I have only seen this one other time.

Thanks so much! I missed that ad... went back and got it before the newspaper went into the recycling!

Aldi is my main store too. I shop there weekly for about 70% of our groceries. They don't have whole wheat flour or brown rice, so I shop at Target or a nearby bulk organic store for those.
