Purex plus Oxi Review / Giveaway

One of the great perks of being a Purex Insider is that I get to try out new products! For instance, I recently had the chance to try the new Purex® plus Oxi detergent.

Purex® plus Oxi is the most powerful Purex detergent available. It's so powerful, it works against over 101 different stains! The three stain-fighting enzymes in Purex plus Oxi each work against different types of stains for the most Purex stain-fighting power you can get.

So how good was it? I gave it a try with my kids' laundry. My middle daughter is a bit of a messy eater due to her disability, so we often get food stains on her clothes. And my youngest loves to do craft project, so we get glue or marker on clothes pretty often.

I tried using the Purex plus Oxi as a pretreater. I poured a little Purex plus Oxi on the stains and rubbed the stained fabric together. I let it sit for five minutes. Then I put the stained clothes in the washer along with the other clothes and ran the laundry as usual.

And yes, the stains came out. Yay! No real need for a separate pretreating product now. That will save money as well as space in my very small laundry room. Another yay!

And here's the funny thing. My youngest took part in a fun run at school as a fundraiser. She got her parents (that's me) and grandparents to pledge money for each lap she ran. As she ran each lap, a volunteer marked the back of her fundraiser T-shirt with a permanent marker, to keep track of the number of laps and thus the amount we would owe.

I washed that T-shirt along with the rest of the laundry, and guess what? Almost all of the permanent marker marks came out as well. Even without pretreating it. Actually I am a little bummed about not having the marks anymore, but at least I know that Purex plus Oxi can take out permanent marker stains!
