CVS: What a racket!
What a racket CVS has!
First, they put their candy on sale. And with coupons (or even without this week!) it's free or almost free. So of course, I have to buy it.
But then my kids will eat the candy and they could get cavities. So of course I have to buy toothpaste for them.
And they'll probably get their clothes all messy from melted chocolate, so I'll have to do laundry, and I'll need to buy laundry detergent.
Now all of a sudden my free candy has become a big drug store bill!
Of course, I am just joking about it being a racket. But it did work out nicely that all of those things were on sale this week!

= $2.00 for four, or 50¢ each (25¢ each after ECBs)
2 Colgate Kids toothpaste @ $2.00 = $4.00 (receive $2 ECB)
- 2 $0.75/1 Colgate Toothpaste, exp. 9/15/12 (SS 08/26/12 R)
= $2.50 for two, or $1.25 each (25¢ each after ECBs)
2 Xtra laundry detergent @ $1.49 = $2.98
Tax: 70¢
Total before ECBs: $8.85
Pay with $2 ECB from a previous week
Total out of pocket: $6.85
Total saved compared to CVS full prices: $12.56
ECBs received: $3.67
