Walgreens: Reach for savings
This week, I got a great present from my aunt: a pad full of Reach floss coupons! She's a medical sales representative, so she gets lots of free samples from different manufacturers. So we got some floss samples, some mouthwash samples, and at least 20 $2 off Reach floss coupons. That means that even if there isn't a Reach coupon available, I'll be able to use these coupons when there is a sale on Reach - like this week at Walgreens - and maybe turn a good deal into a moneymaker.
I also picked up some Colgate toothpaste and Suave shampoo that was free after Register Rewards, and some Hefty plastic bags that I was out of.
Here's what I got at Walgreens this week:
2 Hefty One Zip gallon bags @ BOGO $3.49
- $1/2 Hefty Slider Bags, exp. 8/31/12 (SS 05/13/12)
= $2.49 for two, or $1.25 each
1 Reach Total Care Plus whitening floss @ $2.99 (receive $2 RR)
- $2.00 off Reach coupon tearpad
= 99¢ ($1.01 moneymaker after RRs)
1 Colgate Total Advanced toothpaste @ $3.00 (receive $2.50 RR)
- $0.50/1 Colgate Total, Optic White, Max Fresh or Sensitive, exp. 7/7/12 (SS 06/17/12)
= $2.50 (FREE after RRs)
2 Suave shampoo @ $1.00 (receive $2 RR)
= $2.00 (FREE after RRs)
Total product: $7.98
Tax: 69¢
Total out of pocket: $8.67
Total saved compared to Walgreens full prices: $8.98
RRs received: $6.50 ($2.50, $2, $2)
