Walgreens: Free toilet paper!
At Walgreens, I had $4 in Register Rewards (two $2 RRs) to use up today, but this week's Walgreens ad was not all that great. So I used them to purchase my go-to item - toilet paper. The Angel Soft 9-roll package was on sale this week for $4, so that means I only paid sales tax!
But since I was using two Register Rewards, I had to buy at least one more item. I noticed that Kleenex tissues were buy one, get one free this week. I usually buy a year's supply of tissues each year when they go on sale at Publix just before the school year starts. I buy enough for us and to give a few boxes to my daughters' teachers. But now I'm down to just a couple of boxes, so I thought I'd buy two more to get us through the summer. Hopefully Publix will have the same sale again and there will be high-value coupons that match the sale!
Here's what I got at Walgreens:
1 Angel Soft toilet paper @ $4.00
2 Kleenex 184 ct @ BOGO $2.29
Total product: $6.29
Pay with $4 in RRs
Total product after RRs: $2.29
Tax: 38¢
Total out of pocket: $2.67
Total saved compared to Walgreens full prices: $6.29

I have Register Rewards expiring this week, too -- getting a head start on school supplies is a great suggestion!
