Veggie deals at Western Beef

Now that my produce store has gone out of business, I usually go to Western Beef to get deals on vegetables. Their stock is better than ALDI's, and their sale prices are pretty low. One down side is that the area dedicated to produce is tiny; it is always difficult to navigate the shopping cart around.

While at Western Beef, I also found packages of frozen ravioli and gnocchi on sale for $1.50 each. There were only 4 packages left, and I bought them all. I hate buying the last of an item - sorry to my fellow shoppers. But I wish there had been more in stock.

Here's what I got:

2 strawberries @ BOGO $2.99 = $2.99
1.12 lb red pepper @ $1.39/lb = $1.56
4 ravioli/gnocchi @ $1.50 = $6.00
2.00 lb plum tomatoes @ 69¢/lb = $1.38
1 bag baby carrots @ $1.50
3 cucumbers @ 50¢ = $1.50
1 celery @ 99¢

Total spent: $16.91

Not sure where you live, but there are some great markets in PP. I know Stiles [not my fav, but still okay] is way better than Aldi's. I like Aldi's, but there produce most times is flavorless! This market I go to have amazing prices, and organic which is mainly what I spend my savings on. BUT they have markdown racks! $1 or a bit more never more than $2 for better quality than Aldi's! Brother's Market is on 441/S of Stirling Rd. I haven't seen to many other markets around unless you go to the once a month near the police on Pines. Good luck I adore your blog!

@emmieray - I live in the northern end of the county; Pembroke Pines is a little far for me. I used to have a great produce market nearby, but it went out of business over the summer. :-( There are others, but I haven't had a chance to look around lately. But I'll definitely check those out when I'm in your area!

I didn't even know there was another Western Beef in county! Too bad about your markets it isn't an easy market with the standard cost I know. Good luck!

Actually, the other Western Beef is in Boca Raton, in Palm Beach County, but very close to the county line. Thanks for your compliments!
