Product research and shopping - all in one!
Before I buy anything online, I do research to make sure I find the item that meets my needs the best and is at the lowest price. But looking through page after page of search engine listings can be quite a chore, especially when so many of the pages don't help me make my decision, but are just a waste of my time.
So I was glad to find Become.com, which is both a shopping research site as well as a great place to make purchases!
Become.com's search engine crawls over 3.2 billion web pages to find current buying guides, expert reviews, consumer reviews, articles, specifications, forums, merchants, and a variety of other useful information to help you make better buying decisions. There are no spam postings - only pages that will help you make your purchasing decision.
The site also has lots of great features. For instance, it has a "Nearby Stores" feature, so if you want to check out your desired item in person, you'll find out what stores in your area carry it. Become.com allows to compare prices from a variety of sellers, and includes all shipping and handling costs so that there are no surprises when you go to check out. And there is a coupon section to help you save even more.
I love checking out what I want to buy at Become.com! For instance, my daughter has asked for original favorite boyfriend jean american eagle-style pants, so I searched for them and found lots of options, both priced high (not happening!) and low (maybe).
I did some searching for a gift for my sister-in-law and found these great peace sign women's sweatshirts. It showed not only the full-priced versions, but also ones that were on sale at their sites - and you know how much I love things on sale!
To be fair, not every item is meant for the frugal purchaser. For instance, I searched for a nordstrom.com/purpleskirt, and the third item shown was listed at $1,270. Ouch! (But free shipping was included, LOL!) Luckily, I was able to sort by price, low to high, and found lots of more affordable options.
So if you're looking to research your buying options and see all your purchasing possibilities, head on over to Become.com!
