CVS Deals 1/15: The missing coupon
This week's CVS trip was one of my quickest ever!
There weren't that many great deals that I wanted to get this week. First of all, I had printed a $1/2 Bumble Bee products coupon from Recyclebank, so I planned to get two cans of white albacore tuna and pay only 27¢ each.
Another deal that caught my eye was the deal for RepHresh tampons - buy one at $6.49, receive $2 in ECBs. There was a $1 RepHresh coupon from the manufacturer, and the CVS coupon printing machine was printing out $4 coupons.
When I read that, I realized, I have that CVS coupon! Somewhere! But where?
You see, I don't cut up my coupons. Instead, I have a coupon file where I place the uncut Sunday coupon inserts. But I still have some loose coupons - from tearpads and blinking coupons, from coupons I've cut up but then decided in the store not to use, and coupons from the CVS coupon machine. Those, I keep in a coupon binder.
But I haven't kept up the binder lately, and most of my coupons were in a pile on my desk.
I searched through the coupons. No RepHresh coupon.
I looked in the pocket of my purse where I keep coupons that I bring to the store. Nope, not there either.
I checked in my bedroom, where I might have taken coupons in my pocket out and placed on the dresser. Nope.
So I figured, I must have lost it. Oh, well, what can you do?
Then, while I was planning my Walgreens trip, I looked in my wallet where I keep my ECBs and RRs, and there it was.
The coupon!
Yay!
Except it expired last week.
Sigh.
When I went to the store, I tried the coupon machine again. No coupon.
So, the only thing I ended up getting was the tuna.
2 Bumble Bee Chunk White Albacore Tuna @ 77¢ = $1.54
- $1/2 Bumble Bee products coupon from Recyclebank
= 54¢ for two, or 27¢ each
Total out of pocket: 54¢
Total saved: $2.80
ECBs received: $1 (for using my green bag tag four times)

That's a great deal on the tuna, though!
My CVS will let me use those for a week after. You should ask!!!
