ALDI: Another $5 off coupon
I took another trip to ALDI today. Yes, even though I went just a few days ago. My kids are drinking milk like it was water. Two gallons isn't even lasting a week lately!
But this time, I had a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $30 or more at the two new South Florida ALDI stores (Coral Springs and Tamarac). For the locals, this coupon was in the Local section of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel on 12/14. (Get that coupon now before you recycle the paper!)
So I figured, I should just go ahead and buy $30 worth of food. But what to buy? I could just buy some treats or junk food, but instead I decided to stock up on the kinds of foods I normally buy at ALDI. And I ended up buying my produce there, instead of making a separate trip to another store (costing me gas money and time).
Let's hope I can make it a few more days without going to ALDI again!
I found a few good deals at ALDI - bananas were 25¢ per pound. Cream cheese was 89¢ for an 8-oz package. And eggs were still 99¢ per dozen. I hope those prices last a while!
Here's what I got:
4 dozen eggs @ 99¢ = $3.96
1 package green peppers @ $1.29
1 package Roma tomatoes @ $1.39
2 cucumbers @ 55¢ = $1.10
1 3-lb bag Gala apples @ $2.69
1 head lettuce @ $1.15
2.2 lb bananas @ 25¢/lb = 55¢
2 cans tuna @ 59¢ = $1.18
4 cream cheese @ 89¢ = $3.56
2 apple juice concentrate @ 92¢ = $1.84
3 gallons milk @ $2.69 = $8.07
1 family pack tortillas @ $1.99
1 applesauce cups @ $1.29
Total product: $30.06
Use $5 off $30 coupon
Total out of pocket: $25.06

My kids got their pictures taken at the Target near the Tamarac one, but it was the day before the opening:)

That is a lot of milk. I started rationing it a little. Milk was getting expensive. Great job. Thanks for sharing at Pounds4Pennies Friday Finals.
