Publix: Yay for gas cards!

This week's Publix ad didn't look all that exciting, until I got to the second-to-last page: The gas card deal is back!

Here it is: Buy $25 in merchandise, and you can get $10 off of a $50 gas gift card.

The problem was, I didn't really see $25 in items I wanted this time. But I needed to buy some Goodnites for my daughter, who wears them. Usually I purchase them separately, but this time I bought them along with my regular groceries so that I could go over $25. I'm not counting the Goodnites in my grocery budget, so it's not listed below.

Here's what I got:

2 Post Cinnamon Churros @ BOGO $3.89
- $1/2 coupon
= $2.89 for two, or $1.45 each

4 Lenders bagels @ BOGO $2.19 = $4.38

2 4C bread crumbs @ $1.29 = $2.58
- $1/2 coupon
= $1.58 for two, or 79¢ each

2 Pop Secret kernels @ BOGO $4.99
- $1/2 coupon
= $3.99 for two, or $2.00 each

Total spent: $12.84
Total saved: $16.26
