Menu plan 10/3/11: Another holiday meal
Thisweek, I'll be making another big holiday meal - it's Yom Kippur on Friday night through Saturday until sundown. We'll be fasting all evening and day while praying for atonement of our sins to God, so before sundown, we'll have a good meal, and after sundown on Saturday, we'll have a break the fast meal.
So here's what's for dinner this week:
Monday - breaded tilapia (hopefully the kids will like this as much as fish sticks), rice with salsa and cheese
Tuesday - Clean Out the Crisper pasta and vegetables
Wednesday - picadillo over brown rice
Thursday - green pepper whole-wheat pizza
Friday - chicken soup with matzah balls, roast turkey, rice pilaf, salad, challah, honey cake
Friday - leftovers from Wednesday and Thursday night
Saturday - bagels with cream cheese, lox, lettuce, and tomato
Sunday - eat out!
