CVS: Another free product, yay!
I took a trip over to CVS. As usual, I ran my card through the coupon printer at the front of the store. In the last two weeks, I received a coupon for a free product - two weeks ago, it was for Always pantiliners; last week it was for a Dove candy bar.
And this week, I went three for three - I got a coupon for a free box of either Ritz Crackerfuls or Newton Fruit Thins!
I preferred the Crackerfuls, but there were none on the shelves, so I went with the Newton Fruit Thins. They're thin cookies made with real fruit - the only flavor there was Cranberry Citrus Oat. I haven't tried them yet, but they look pretty good.
Here's what I got on the trip:
1 Newton Fruit Thins @ $2.50
- FREE Newton Fruit Thins coupon from the in-store coupon printing machine
= FREE
1 Softsoap body wash @ $2.99 (receive $2 ECB)
- $0.75/1 Softsoap Brand Body Wash printable
= $2.24 (24¢ after ECBs)
1 Herbal Essences shampoo @ $2.99 (receive $1 ECB)
- $1/1 Herbal Essences or Aussie Product, exp. 9/30/11 (RP 08/07/11)
= $1.99 (99¢ after ECBs)
1 RepHresh tampons @ $6.79 (receive $6.79 ECB)
- $1/1 RepHresh Brilliant PH Tampons printable
= $5.79 ($1.00 moneymaker after ECBs)
1 St. Joseph aspirin 81 mg @ $2.00 (receive $1 ECB)
- $1/1 St. Joseph Aspirin, exp. 12/31/11 (SS 09/11/11)
= $1.00 (FREE after ECBs)
Total before ECBs: $11.02
Pay with $1 ECB from last week
Total after ECBs: $10.02
Tax: 72¢
Total out of pocket: $10.74
Amount saved compared to CVS full prices: $12.43
ECBs received: $10.79
So I paid $10.74 out of pocket and got back $10.79 in ECBs... so I made a nickel on this trip. Yay!
