Publix: Dip into savings
I took a trip over to Publix this morning - my first since vacation. The deals weren't all that plentiful this week, but there were a few very good ones!
We've now got lots of dips and dip makings. I was able to get two containers of Deans Dips for 9 cents each! And I also got two boxes of organic frozen spinach for 69¢ - perfect for making my mother-in-law's delicious spinach dip. Perhaps I'll make some this weekend and feature it in next week's Frugal Food Thursday.
Here's what I got:
2 Deans Dips @ $2.09 = $4.18
- 2 $1 off Deans Dips manufacturer's coupons
- 2 $1 off Deans Dips Publix coupon from the Yellow Advantage Flyer
= 18¢ for two, or 9¢ each
2 Cascadian Farm spinach @ $2.69 = $5.38
- 2 $1 off Cascadian Farm manufacturer's printable coupon
- 1 $2/2 Cascadian Farm Publix coupon from the Yellow Advantage Flyer
= $1.38 for two, or 69¢ each
4 Skippy peanut butter @ BOGO $2.95 = $5.90
- 2 $1/2 Skippy manufacturer's coupon from the 7/31 RedPlum insert
= $3.90 for four, or 98¢ each
2 Resolve Spray 'N Wash @ $2.99 = $5.98
- 2 75¢ off Resolve manufacturer's coupons from the 6/26 Smartsource insert
- $2/2 Resolve Publix coupon from the Yellow Advantage Flyer
= $2.48 for two, or $1.24 each
Total product: $7.94
Tax: 36¢
Total out of pocket: $8.30
Total saved compared to Publix full prices: $19.40

I wish I'd had Cascadian Farms manu q's for those veggies and fruits with the $2/2...but I scramble enough trying to find q's to keep me from paying full price on the cereal...my husband just plows through it like it's cheap or something! lol
