Menu plan 8/15/11: Last week of summer
It's the last week of summer for us - school starts on August 22. Back to afterschool activities and helping with homework. And no more of the laissez-faire attitude I've had about making dinner!
I didn't mind if dinner was served later than usual during the summer - after all, I could just extend bedtime a little bit! But now I'll have to be on my toes to get dinner started on time so that we can eat on time so the younger kids can take baths and have reading time before bed.
Dinner will be a little more varied this week - I was able to go shopping for meat. So now we have a few more choices!
So here's what's for dinner this week:
Monday - honey mustard herb chicken, pasta with garlic and oil, salad
Tuesday - picadillo over brown rice
Wednesday - hot dogs, chips, veggie sticks
Thursday - mushroom pizza on whole wheat pizza dough, fruit
Friday - chicken soup with matzah balls, baked chicken breasts, tabbouleh, broccoli, challah
Saturday - ravioli with alfredo sauce, caesar salad
Sunday - takeout

That honey mustard herb chicken sounds yummy. Great idea for left-over salad dressing.
