Don't Forget the Clearance Sections
Guest post from Kim from My Lovely Coupon Life
Hi, I'm Kim. I was introduced to the wonderful world of couponing a few months ago and have become quite the expert on leaving CVS and Rite Aid with tons of product and paying only pennies. I have found that most couponing websites overlook a large part of saving money.
What these sites are missing is the clearance sections. A quick run the the clearance section can make for a great shopping trip. This summer sunscreen is an item most people need. I have scored Coppertone, Aveeno, and Neutrogena sunscreen in the clearance sections of Rite Aid for as little as $3 each.
I found these sunscreens marked down to around $5. Rite Aid allows you to pair store and manufacturer coupons for a single item. Don't forget that these coupons still work on clearance items. Just last week I had a store and manufacturer coupon each for $1 off Coppertone. I found Coppertone in the clearance section for $5.24, after coupons this was $3.24.
When you are out shopping, swing by the clearance section and take a look. If you have your coupons with you it will be easy to pair up items with the coupons you have. If you don't find any match ups, that's ok! Be sure to jot down the items you are interested in and the clearance prices. Once you get home check a coupon database on the internet to see if there are any match ups that would make for a great deal. Next time you are out go back and score some great deals. Don't worry, unless its a super excellent price the clearance items will be there.
Happy couponing!
