ALDI: Another price increase!
I went to ALDI yesterday. We've been so coddled by low prices there compared to the grocery stores, so when I saw prices had increased for milk, eggs, flour, and apple juice, I was a little shocked.
Milk, which was $2.09 a gallon, had increased to $2.19. And eggs, which had been $1.09 per dozen, were now $1.29. Flour was $1.79, up from $1.69, and apple juice was $1.49, up from $1.29.
Still, these prices are a lot less than the supermarkets, and I'd rather ALDI raise their prices just a little than go out of business altogether.
Here's what I got:
1 bananas @ 80¢
1 Roma tomatoes @ $1.89
1 Fuji apples @ $2.59
1 bag flour @ $1.79
2 apple juice @ $1.49 = $2.98
1 white vinegar @ 89¢
1 Parmesan cheese @ $2.39
2 whole wheat bread @ $1.29 = $2.58
2 large eggs @ $1.29 = $2.58
2 gallons milk @ $2.19 = $4.38
Total spent: $22.87

Wow! Where are you located? I live in the Tampa Bay area and at Aldi I just bought eggs last week at 99 cents and Parmesan cheese at $1.99! You still got some good savings though!!!
Wow I'd take your $2.19 a gallon milk any day. Our milk in SC is $3.29 at Aldi and is $3.59 at the grocery store! You are lucky!
