Walgreens: Gotta love free saline solution!
I wear contacts, so I'm always happy when the drug stores have a deal for free saline solution. And Walgreens had a deal this week (free after Register Rewards). Yay! Unfortunately there were no matching coupons to make this a moneymaker, but I guess you can't have it all.
I also picked up some vitamins and baby aspirin this week. Here's what I got:
1 Complete saline solution @ $7.99 (receive $8 RR)
2 Nature Made Vitamin D @ BOGO $5.49
- $3 off Nature Made Vitamin D coupon from the February All You magazine
= $2.49 for two, or $1.25 each
(I had two coupons, but the second one beeped - I guess either because the amount of the coupon exceeded the price, or because it was a BOGO item. Sigh.)
1 Bayer baby aspirin @ $3.19
- $1 off Bayer Walgreens coupon from the May savings booklet (available in-store)
- $1 off Bayer manufacturer's coupon from the 5/1 Smartsource insert (or printable)
= $1.19
(There was a $2 off Bayer aspirin in-ad coupon that I planned to use. But when I went to use it, I could've sworn that the coupon said it was limited to the 200-300 ct bottles. Now I look at the ad again and it says 20-300. Oops.)
3 Maruchan instant lunch @ 25¢ (with in-ad, regional coupon) (extra items)
(In retrospect, I only needed one extra item. These will be donated to the food bank.)
Total product cost: $12.42
Pay with $10 in Register Rewards ($4, $3, $3)
Total cost after RRs: $2.42
Tax: 48¢
Total out of pocket: $2.90
Total saved compared to Walgreens retail prices: $23.04
