Publix: BOGOing crazy
I took a trip over to Publix today. I didn't have a lot of time to plan, so I just concentrated on the BOGO items, whether or not I had coupons for them. Here's what I got:
4 Welch's white grape juice @ BOGO $3.99 = $7.98
- 4 75¢ off Welch's grape juice coupons from the 4/17 Smartsource insert
= $4.98 for four, or $1.25 each
2 Back to Nature granola @ BOGO $3.79
- 2 $1 off Back to Nature printable coupons
= $1.79 for two, or 90¢ each
6 Yakisoba noodles @ BOGO 89¢ = $2.67
- 6 50¢ Yakisoba coupons from the 3/13 Smartsource insert
= 33¢ moneymaker
(These will be donated to the Stamp Out Hunger food drive on Saturday. Your mail carrier will be collecting food for food banks. Just fill a plastic bag with canned or boxed foods and leave it by your mailbox for your carrier to pick up.)
2 Friendship cottage cheese @ 2/$3.00
- $1/2 Friendship coupon from the 4/17 Smartsource insert
6 Bumble Bee tuna 4-packs @ BOGO $3.55 = $10.65
= $1.78 per 4-pack, or 44¢ per can
2 Publix bagels 4-pack @ BOGO $1.69
= 85¢ per 4-pack, or 21¢ per bagel
4 Del Monte tomatoes with jalapeno peppers @ BOGO $1.53
= 77¢ per can
Total spent: $23.84
Total saved compared to retail prices: $38.84

Great job on BOGO. I wish Kroger had more BOGO. Tom Thumb has BOGO, but you can only use one coupon for the BOGO offer. And they hike the price so high that it is the same as buying it normally. So you have to have coupon to get a true deal.
