Produce store: 50% off everything!
I went to my local produce store on Wednesday to get some ingredients for my sour mango coleslaw, as well as a few salad veggies. But I ended up not getting the salad veggies on that trip.
That's because inside the store were signs announcing a 50% off all produce sale on Friday! I bought the few things I absolutely needed and put off the rest for two days.
1 head red cabbage @ 49¢/lb
1 Vidalia onion @ 99¢/lb
4 Roma tomatoes @ 99¢/lb
Total spent: $1.10
I went back today... and what a bonanza I got! I purchased everything in the picture for $14.38. Since I don't know when the store will have this sale again, I bought extra of veggies that will stay good for a while, like celery and carrots. I'll have lots of yummy salads this week for lunch, and my kids will have sweet fresh fruit for snacks!
2 lb strawberries @ $1.00 = $2.00
3 lb onions @ $1.00
1 honeydew melon @ 50¢
1 cantaloupe @ 50¢
1 head iceberg lettuce @ 50¢
1 bunch basil @ 75¢
2 bags baby carrots @ 50¢ = $1.00
4 Granny Smith apples @ 50¢/lb
5 red/yellow peppers @ 50¢/lb
1 head Romaine lettuce @ 50¢
6 cucumbers @ 3/50¢ = $1.00
1 bunch bananas @ 25¢/lb
2 packages celery @ 50¢ = $1.00
1 pint blueberries @ $1.00
12 jalapeno peppers @ 25¢/lb
Total spent: $14.38

Wow! 50% off produce? That is amazing!
Would you care to share where this produce store is located? I shop at both Stiles and Fruit Emporiom in Sunrise and never get 50% off. Thanks.
Sure! It's the Just Produce Farmers Market, located at 4400 W. Hillsboro Blvd. in Coconut Creek, Florida, near the intersection of Hillsboro and Lyons Rd.
