Target: Sonicare, socks, and cheese

I planned to take a trip over to Target this morning, intending to check out their Sonicare electric toothbrushes. Ours had been acting kinda wonky, and I found that there were both coupons on the Target website as well as in the 1/9 Smartsource insert. I thought that the Target website coupon was a store coupon, so I thought I could stack both and save more money!

But, as it turns out, the coupon on the Target website was also a manufacturer's coupon. Darn. Still, I went to check the price there.

And I lucked out! One of the Sonicare systems was on clearance for $62.98 - it retails normally for $89.99. So with the $10 manufacturer's coupon, I spent $52.98. And, when I paid, I also received not one, but two Target coupons for replacement brush heads. So I can stack this with the manufacturer's coupon for replacement heads (also in the 1/9 Smartsource insert) and save!

While at Target, I also picked up a six-pack of Hanes socks for my daughter, whose socks seem to mysteriously disappear. I used at $1 off any Hanes clothing item store coupon (no longer available).

I also bought my favoorite thing to buy at Target - cheese! I got two packages of Kraft shredded cheese and used the $1.50/2 Target coupon and the $1/2 coupon from the 3/13 Smartsource insert. The cheese retailed for $2.34 (though again their computers claimed the price was $3.09); I spent $1.09 per package after the coupons.

I'll be counting only the cheese purchase toward my food budget this week - otherwise I'd be practically over budget for the week already!

Laura,

I just love how our shopping turns out-- LOL
Socks, Cheese, Toothbrushes just seems so odd!

I live in the great state of TN and it also cracks me up when I pass places that are Mom and Pop stores that sell like Jams and Quilts or something like Clocks and Honey and I always think to myself because those two go together so nicely! or as I say to my family he sells clocks and she sells honey. Now it turns out our frugal shopping is the same.

You did get a great deal on the Sonic Care, and great cheese prices are always wonderfu.
