Walgreens: PediaCare nightmare!
(Okay, maybe nightmare is too strong a word, but it makes for a nice title.)
So, as I might have mentioned, my youngest child has been sick all week. We ran out of cold medicine, so I decided to make a quick trip to Walgreens. I had glanced at a deal on PediaCare listed on another savings blog, but I haven't had a lot of time to study up on the details of the deal. So, I figured I knew what it was, found and printed the Coupons.com PediaCare coupons, and went to the store.
I picked up the monthly coupon booklet and looked through it.... no PediaCare coupon.
I looked through it again... still no PediaCare coupon.
One more time... nope, no PediaCare coupon.
So I bought a Walgreens brand cold medicine. I don't count the costs of medicines toward my budget of $80 per week for food, paper products, and health and beauty care items. But I did pick this deal up:
2 Softsoap 56 oz refills @ 2/$11 (receive $5 Register Rewards)
Pay with $10 RR from my 2/27 trip
Total before tax: $1.00
Tax: 66¢
Total out of pocket: $1.66
Received $5 RR
And when I got home, I looked up the PediaCare deal again. Seems that the needed Walgreens coupon was in the weekly ad, not the monthly coupon booklet. *sigh*
But now that I know, I still may go tomorrow or the next day and get that deal!
