Publix: Local deals on peanut butter and pasta

I love visiting deal sites each week to figure out what I'll be buying this week.  But it's important to check your local ad, too!

The Publix ad for South Florida has some great deals built around the Ft. Lauderdale A1A Marathon & Half Marathon, which is being held Sunday, February 20.  I didn't see these sales listed at some of the other deal sites, so here they are for South Floridians:

• $1.00 - Chef Boyardee pasta, 14.5-15 oz can
• $1.00 - Hunt's Snack Pack pudding, 4 pk, 3.5 oz cup
• $1.67 - Peter Pan peanut butter, 13 or 16.3 oz jar
• $2.00 - Hunt's Manwich sloppy joe sauce, original, 26.5 oz can

In addition, there were matching Publix store coupons in the 2/6 Smartsource insert (see previous post).  I combined two of those coupons with manufacturers coupons to get the following:

Peter Pan peanut butter, 3/$5
- $1/3 Publix store coupon from the 2/6 Smartsource insert
- $1/2 manufacturer's coupon from the January All You magazine
= 3 for $3, or $1 each

Chef Boyardee canned pasta, 5/$5
- $2/5 Publix store coupon from the 2/6 Smartsource insert
- Buy 4, get 1 free manufacturer's coupon from the January All You magazine
= $2 for 5 cans, or 40¢ each
