CVS: How eggs-asperating!
I took a trip over to CVS earlier today. Like my trip at Walgreens, there weren't a lot of great deals to be had at CVS this week. This was especially true at my particular CVS. There's a deal this week for free Cadbury single eggs or package of mini-eggs after Extra Care Bucks, but my store didn't have either of the products in stock. How eggs-asperating!
There were other candy deals, but I really don't want to keep a lot of candy in the house. It will just tempt me into eating it...
But here's what I did get:
1 Purex laundry detergent @ $1.99
- $1.00 off coupon from the 2/20 RedPlum insert
= 99¢ after coupon
2 Kellogg's Raisin Bran @ $1.99 each = $3.98
- $1/2 selected Kellogg's cereals coupon from the 2/6 Smartsource insert
= $2.98 for two, or $1.49 each
(I generally try to keep cereal purchases closer to $1.00 or less per box. But we only have two boxes left so since I could use ECBs to pay for them, I bought two boxes here)
1 Gold Emblem jelly beans @ 99¢, receive 99¢ ECB
= 99¢
Total product cost: $4.96
ECBs used: $4.96 (I had a $4 ECB and a $1 ECB, but I asked the cashier to round the $1 ECB down to 96¢. Sometimes CVS cashiers will do this, sometimes they won't.)
Total product cost after ECBs: FREE
Total tax: 16¢
Total out of pocket: 16¢

Love the title! Sorry for the frustration, though. I'll be seeing if my store has them this afternoon--but since it is truck day they should. Thanks for linking up your CVS shopping trip at Simply CVS.
That's actually the only thing I was planning on buying this week, also. I can't use Purex, my husband is allergic to anything but Tide, and we have TONS of cereal from previous deals.
I didnt see any mentos in your deal..it's $0.50 for the roll & free after $0.50/1 = FREE :)
I'm a new follower too...http://www.couponnewbies.blogspot.com
I had the same problem with the Snickers PB Squared. I had a coupon that expired Sunday for B1G1 Free and a CVS B1G1 Free that expired yesterday. Went into the store and they said they didn't have them in. What?! Its in the ad!
Wow, that was cheap laundry detergent! What size is that bottle?
