Menu Plan 10/25/10: Halloween plans
Halloween is this Sunday, which makes my week's meal planning a little different. Typically, we will get some takeout sandwiches or a pizza, or (more rarely nowadays) go to a restaurant. But not this week!
The kids won't be interested in eating; they'll want to get out and start trick-or-treating! So, we'll plan a super-quick meal that day of grilled cheese and tomato soup. It'll be quick, they'll be willing to eat, and hopefully they'll be full enough that they won't be asking to eat all their Halloween candy once they get home. (A mom can dream...)
Monday - Chicken Basquaise over brown rice
Tuesday - Greek salad (gotta use up the last of the free feta!)
Wednesday - pepper and onion pizza on whole wheat pizza dough, cut-up veggies
Thursday - Clean Out the Crisper pasta and vegetables, fruit
Friday - baked chicken, kasha varnishkes, salad, challah
Saturday - hamburgers, sweet potato fries, pickles and olives
Sunday - grilled cheese, tomato soup, fruit
Check out Menu Plan Monday for more menu plans!
